Overview
OTHM is a UK based awarding organisation. OTHM qualifications are approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). Ofqual is responsible for maintaining standards and confidence in qualifications. Ofqual looks after GCSEs and A levels in England, and a wide range of vocational qualifications in England. Ofqual also regulates the National Curriculum Assessments in England. All qualifications regulated by Ofqual (in England) comes under the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework. The UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) categorises qualifications in England based on their size and level of challenge or difficulty.
OTHM is regulated by Ofqual with the same framework as with the UK universities. Hence the UK universities recognise OTHM qualifications and allow OTHM graduates to join relevant Bachelor Degree Final year/Master/MBA top-up programmes. OTHM holds a progression agreement with several UK universities. That means learners can also join relevant programmes offered at Study Centres/Partner Colleges/Overseas Campuses of UK universities.
The objective of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Business Studies qualification is to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structure of businesses. Successful completion of this qualification will equip learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to succeed in employment or further studies.
